A taxi, train and horse cart got my pregnant mother to her parent’s house. After her 300 kilometer journey, I was born a month later. Therefore I am not a stranger to travel. Since my first international trip to Nepal in 1980 I have been fortunate to set foot on all the seven continents in over 100 countries.
Travel has become a necessity. Ibn Battuta, the great 13th century traveler wrote “Traveling- it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a story teller”. I cannot imagine how perceptive he was, since every time I travel, I conjure stories in my head to share with friends who may not have an opportunity to do so. My articles and blogs in this website stand silent testimony to this urge.
My travel photography in line with my travel planning is thematic: Wildlife, culture, landscapes, ethnic people, history, archaeology and great cities. The sample portfolio attached illustrates some of my experiences.
